Caring for Kenya assists congregations with the building of church buildings. Typically church plants start in homes and rented store front buildings. As the congregation grows CfK helps with the purchase of land and they construct a temporary structure. For Nzawa it is a wooden frame with black plastic over it. For Kithumula it is sisal poles with a canvas stretched across the top. As attendance increases a permanent structure of mud bricks with wooden trusses and a corrugated metal roof is usually constructed. When metal frame windows and metal doors are installed the building can be secured. Kenyan are use to doing things in stages.
